GLB Compressor & Optimizer
Clean a GLB losslessly or apply an explicit balanced 16-bit geometry quantization, then compare the measured local result.
Workflow type: GLB compression and optimization export. Status: Functional. Expected result: Export result. Available action: Optimize GLB locally.
What this 3D tool provides
Optimize GLB models online with local lossless cleanup or explicit balanced geometry quantization, then review measured size and scene details before download.
- GLB Compressor & Optimizer brings GLB input and the listed GLB outputs into one review sequence.
- Use the before-and-after labels for orientation, then confirm the selected file with the result guidance and format notes below.
- Accepted input: GLB.
- Available controls: Optimization preset, Merge fully matching mesh records, Keep object names.
- Review the optimized model, measured before/after size, preserved scene counts and applied operations before downloading. A smaller file is never promised when its source is already efficient.
How to use GLB Compressor & Optimizer
- Choose a supported file — Choose GLB from your device.
- Review settings — Review the available controls: Optimization preset, Merge fully matching mesh records, Keep object names.
- Review and download — Review the measured result and preview before downloading an available export.
Preview and result review
A detailed arcade robot contains repeated mesh records that make cleanup, optional balanced geometry quantization and measured size comparison easy to inspect.

- After example: The same arcade robot after supported cleanup and repacking
GLB optimization ready: Review the optimized model, measured before/after size, preserved scene counts and applied operations before downloading. A smaller file is never promised when its source is already efficient.
Supported inputs and outputs
Input
- GLB
Output
- GLB
Lossless Cleanup repacks supported scene data. Balanced Web quantizes eligible static mesh positions and normals to normalized 16-bit values; skins, morph targets and animated mesh transforms are skipped rather than altered. Unsupported geometry and texture compression are not claimed.
Available settings
- Optimization preset — select; Options: Lossless Cleanup, Balanced Web (16-bit geometry); Default: lossless
- Merge fully matching mesh records — toggle; Default: On
- Keep object names — toggle; Default: On

Supported file contents stay on this device while the selected tool runs; site analytics and the assistant are separate.
Frequently asked questions
What does GLB Compressor & Optimizer do?
Lossless Cleanup repacks supported scene data and merges only fully matching attributes. Balanced Web uses explicit normalized 16-bit position and normal quantization for eligible static meshes; it skips skins, morph targets and animated mesh transforms instead of changing them.
Which files does GLB Compressor & Optimizer support?
Binary glTF .glb files are supported. The output remains a GLB file.
Is my 3D file uploaded?
Supported file contents stay on this device while the selected tool runs; site analytics and the assistant are separate. The selected file is not uploaded for the supported processing workflow.
What should I review after using GLB Compressor & Optimizer?
Compare measured file size, dimensions, scene counts and applied operations before using the result. Unsupported geometry and texture compression are not claimed, and an already efficient source can become larger after a safe repack.
