Frequently asked questions

Can I merge clips recorded on different phones?

Yes. Clips with different resolutions, aspect ratios, frame rates or rotations are fitted into one output frame and resampled to one frame rate when normalization is required.

Can I merge without any effect?

Yes. Hard cut is the default. Compatible streams can join without re-encoding; audio timing or other edits may require only the affected tracks to be normalized. Transitions are optional per cut.

In what order are the clips joined?

Is the audio from every clip kept?

Yes when the browser can read the source audio. Compatible hard-cut projects copy it; normalized projects rebuild one timeline, respect per-clip mute, and crossfade audio under transitions.

How long can the merged video be?

There is no single reliable browser-wide limit. Processing uses device memory and local temporary storage, so the practical ceiling depends on the clips, browser, device and output settings.
