Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of changes does it detect?
The text diff finds inserted and deleted words on each page, and the visual diff highlights any pixel-level change. Moved layout, swapped images, or font differences. Pages are compared in order (page 1 with page 1), so inserting a page near the front will make later pages show as changed rather than shifted.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
The text diff needs selectable text, so scanned pages without OCR show as having no text. The visual diff still works: it renders both pages and compares them pixel by pixel, which is usually the better mode for scans.
Can I save the comparison result?
Yes. The Download report button produces a plain-text unified diff with page headers and +/− prefixes for every insertion and deletion. There is no output PDF. This is a review tool, and neither input file is modified.
Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
